I was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1978, three years after my family fled Vietnam during the fall of Saigon. In 1979, my family relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area, settling in San Jose.

I was fortunate to have grown up in an artistically nurturing environment. Raised by a talented family, I was consistently exposed to both visual and auditory creativity, nourishing my young passion for art.

In 2004, I graduated from San Jose State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. It was during this time that I found and accepted my calling in art, embracing my voice creatively. While in San Jose, I exhibit at various galleries downtown and was also was privileged to be involved in supporting the fight against human trafficking in southeast Asia, donating works to the Friends of Hue Foundation and the CoVN (Creating Opportunities in Vietnam) Foundation (See Community). This involvement was a stepping stone to the direct involvement I hope to realize in the years to come.
